Our Story (Alyana's Version)

Picture of Our Story (Alyana's Version)

Our love story began the way most good love stories do... at Olive Garden. While both attending Western Washington University in Bellingham, we worked together at Olive Garden for a few years as servers. We'd see each other at group outings, and I must say he always caught my eye (I mean look at that handsome man). When the time was right... I took my shot. Now look at us! Getting married! Shortly after we started dating, Jacob graduated from Western and moved down to Seattle while I finished up my last year and a half in Bellingham. We were about two and a half hours apart... and we made that drive way too often. Jacob joined a volleyball team with me, so he'd drive the 2.5-hour drive to visit me every Wednesday, and every weekend as well. It was a wild time... trying to squeeze every spare second we could together while both working and me in school. When covid hit and all my classes moved online, we decided to move in together. We rented a tiny apartment together in Renton, so Jacob could be close to his job at Boeing, and I started a job as a nanny. Fast forward years later, we've traveled the world together, bought a house, started renovations, and saved for a wedding. I've learned a lot, cried a lot, laughed a lot, all with my favorite person by my side! Yay love!!

Our Story (Jacob's Version)

I first met Alyana in college, working together at Olive Garden in Bellingham Washington. Getting to know each other I remember instantly thinking that she was a fun, spontaneous soul (and cute of course). And although I joke that it was love at first sight over the breadstick basket, truthfully I never envisioned us being more than friends. Over two years of working together, I got to know her more and more, becoming better and better friends along the way and I continued to admire who she was as a person.

However one night going into my last quarter of college, as I was walking home, she sent me a text inviting me to meet her at the Wild Buffalo (a local bar). I still remember stopping in the middle of the road, nearly home, debating if I should continue or turn around and walk to that bar... Never would I have guessed that turning around that night would have changed my life the way it has.

The 5 years since that night has been nothing short of amazing. We've travelled the world, moved our way around Seattle, and made memories we'll never forget. We've also experienced some tough hardships and loss, but through it all we have grown immensely as individuals and more importantly as a couple. Our wedding night will be a celebration of everything over those 5 years, starting with that night at the Wild Buffalo, and for all the memories to come for the rest of our lives. And we look forward to celebrating it with the ones we love most.
